We’re excited to announce that we’ve created four new skins that give a fresh, modern look to Vanguard 2. This release is a follow-up to our previously popular Razor 2 design for Vanguard 1.8, and we’ve worked hard to incorporate user feedback and make numerous improvements to these new skins.
Our four new skins are designed to bring a fresh look to your plugin and music studio. You can easily install them in your Vanguard 2 (VST2/VST3/AAX) via the User Menu/Skins Browser. Whether you’re on MacOS or Windows, our skins are supported on all systems with minimum requirements of Vanguard v2.0.1 and above.
We’ve put a lot of effort into making these skins look and feel great. We think you’ll appreciate the attention to detail and the sleek, modern design. As always, we’ve included a “Changes” and “Known Issues” list, so be sure to check those out.
COLOVE Products does not modify any code – we’ve simply updated the design for fans of the plugin. Our modifications are available free of charge for buyers of our audio products, and we do not distribute, sell or resell the Vanguard 2 plugin. Remember reFX Vanguard 1? Originally released in 2004, this virtual analog synth was very popular among electronic dance music producers, thanks to its analog-style oscillators, multiple waveforms, trance-gate effect, arpeggiator and its inspiring preset library. The synth was discontinued in 2016, but reFX just announced that Vanguard is reborn in version 2, with a new, cleaner user interface, ten new wavetables, two new filter types, new delay-type, a completely new reverb, a new distortion FX, synced LFOs, etc. Also, 136 completely new factory presets have been added. And all Vanguard expansion previously sold on reFX are included for a total of 2440 presets… All that at a very affordable price.
